Snapshot of The Creative Man

“With great power comes great responsibility.” – Spider-man; Stan Lee

“A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away….” Well, a long time ago anyway, Patrick Contreras was born on Cinco de Mayo in Waco Texas. This combination of Dr. Pepper and Mexican food fueled his creativity and he grew up drawing and sketching on anything he could get his hands on. Patrick channeled his creativity into a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Graphic Design while attending Baylor University (Sic ’em Bears!). After singing “That Good Old Baylor Line” one last time Patrick began freelancing and in 2003 he officially opened Creative Man Studio.

Although he definitely enjoys Star Wars and Spiderman movies, Patrick has never been content to just sit back and watch the hero fight for right. He enjoys giving back to the community through the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, EOAC, Head Start, WISD and Providence Healthcare Network. And, when he realized his dream of playing for his beloved San Antonio Spurs wasn’t going to happen, he created the summer girls’ basketball club Texas Heat. Every blistering Texas summer since he has coached them to numerous victories.

Patrick is married to his beautiful wife Delsia and they have an adorable daughter named Eliah. Hating the idea of ever leaving the home of the ALICO Building, Dr. Pepper, the historic Suspension Bridge, and the only traffic circle this side of the Atlantic, they have made their home in Waco and enjoy living and working in the community.

So what does a Dr. Pepper addicted, Star Wars lovin’, basketball playing, creative man mean for your creative needs? Well, it means the office is filled with action figures, and you’re gonna get unconventional, highly creative design from someone who knows the changing marketplace.
